Intel's absolutely insane Skulltrail motherboard officially launched at the Game Developers Conference today, renamed the Intel Dual Socket Extreme Desktop Platform. Supports dual quad-core processors, and both ATI (Crossfire) and NVIDIA (SLI) graphics cards. In addition, the motherboard has a 400 MHz front-side bus and a a hefty $649 pricetag.

I had a bit of a problem with my a little bit old (but still very trusty) MSI K8M Neo-V motherboard being installed with my new Seagate Barracuda ST3250310AS SATA hard drive. Using my experience with my software (Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon 7.10) and PC hardware troubleshooting, I got on a 'detective-like' spree to isolate the problem and save the day :)
