Eminem has turned his attention to the forthcoming presidential election, announcing: “I’ll vote for Barack." Speaking with characteristic frankness to DJ Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1, he said: “I know we are going into a recession. Pardon the cliché but we need something to change."
Eminem has said that creating music, rather than fame, is now his only focus. But the Detroit rapper, who has been on hiatus since 2005, said he had no wish to return to the level of fame he experienced in the late 90s and early 00s. Eminem criticised the state of rap during his absence.
